Day 7 - Yellowstone National Park

Today we got up early, had the $2 all you can eat pancake breakfast at the campsite, and got right on the road for Yellowstone. It was about 1 hour to the park entrance, then through the day drove a 100 mile loop through the park through many of the awesome sights. We stopped at several of the visitor centers. The animals we seen included several herds of bison, deer, pelicans, very large ravens, and trumpeter swans. We stopped at Old Faithful and many different geysers along the way, where the water reaches 200 degrees when spouting. Some of the areas included very beautiful hot water pools, where you could see very clearly down. We drove by Yellowstone Lake, which had beautiful snow covered mountains in the background. One herd of bison was found at Hayden Valley, a large valley with a river flowing right through it. We ate dinner at one of the visitor centers located closely to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, which is the highest road in the park at 8,860 feet. We arrived home at about 9:30 PM, a full day of riding and seeing God's Creation. See the pictures above - an awesome sight, getting us ready for Grand Canyon in Arizona. The entire park was beautiful. We can see why it was the first National Park ever created.
