Day 12 - Travel from Salt Lake City to Zion Canyon

We left Salt Lake City about 10:30. Donna drove the entire route while Tim could catch up on some work on the computer. We did get our camper tires changed along the way ($311 dollars later... - they stated tires were much more expensive our here... oh well). It was very quick - 15 minutes. The kids were comparing it to a pit stop from the movie Cars.

We arrived at a very nice place called Zion River Resort RV Park and Campground at 4:30 PM. Excellent location, very close to Zion National Park, great pool and hot tub, and excellent bathrooms. While we were here, there was a large brush fire about 15 miles away, and all electricity was taken off, and stayed off for an hour or two. The pool was still open, so we swam for a while. Even riding into this area, the scenery was beautiful. I'm sure Zion National Park will be that much better. More to come on that tomorrow.

Total miles to date: 3,480.
