Day 6 - Car Issue & Cody, WY

Well, we got up early and took the car into the shop first thing in the morning. After 1/2 hour of looking at the car, they stated the brakes were fine, and it was probably just them getting hot when driving down the mountain on Route 14 (elevation 10,000 feet). They said there was no charge for looking at the car! What a blessing! So, we decided to get back on the road that morning and drive to Cody, WY, which was about 1 hour away. We planned on staying in Cody for two days, and traveling to Yellowstone to visit each day.

The Cody KOA was a great campsite for children. See the pictures above - they had a great heated pool & hot tub, a huge jumping 'thing' which even adults could jump on, cool bikes to rent, a game room, a play ground, and a great all you can eat pancake breakfast for $2. We decided to just take it easy on this day, and Peter, Jordan and EmmaLee made the most of it. Later that night, we went to a rodeo. Apparently, Cody WY is known as one of the Rodeo capitals of the world (at least they say so). It was great - we all had a great time. What a day which started out to be a low key wait for the car to get fixed, to a great day of just enjoying time together. We are so blessed! Praise God!
